Twisted X Brewery

This weekend HefeFest starts August 4th at our brewery! A summer celebration of cool and refreshing cloudy wheat beer, perfect to quench your thirst in the August heat. We have a limited amount of authentic German Hefeweizen glassware with our logo we will be selling for $12 + one pour of the four Hefeweizens available. All Hefe's are fermented with a different strain of yeast. Honey Weizen – made with Austin local wildflower honey – light blonde color – aroma of banana and cloves, slightly spicy (clove) taste and fruit with a dry finish but the honey flavor lingers in aftertaste. Cloudy! Bavarian Hefeweizen – Traditional Southern German hefeweizen cloudy wheat beer – 50% wheat/50% barley malt. Fermented with an authentic German Hefeweizen yeast that leaves a slightly spicy taste (slight clove). Very smooth and refreshing. Finishes dry. RoggenBier – Hefe beer made with Rye Malt instead of Wheat. (50%rye, 50% barley). Spicy (slight clove) and slight citrus flavors, refreshing with a dry finish. Guava/HaferBier – Hefe made with Oat Malt (Oat = Hafer in German) instead of wheat (50% Oat/50% barley). Fermented with our Kolsch yeast. A creamy mouthfeel and smooth body, slight nuttiness (no nuts used). Subtle flavors of guava fruit round out the taste which ends with a refreshing dry finish. Only at our tasting room at the brewery in Dripping Springs! . . . #hefefest #TwistedX #TexasGood #craftbeer #craftbrewery #TXcraftbeer #craftbrew #drinklocal #drinkcraftbeer

Hamilton Pool

One of the most magical things do to do in Dripping Springs is to take a dip in Hamilton Pool! This preserve has an amazing natural pool and grotto formed when the dome of an underground river collapsed thousands of years ago. The water is breathtaking, but as it is natural, sometimes bacteria levels get so high swimming isn’t allowed. Check before you go! Advance reservations are required and can be made here.
