Blue Owl Brewing

This is the sourest of the east Austin breweries. Blue Owl’s focus is on sour beers. Located on East Cesar Chavez, stop by for Little Gose, the perfect refreshment for the summer!

 

Austin Eastciders’ Collaboratory

Prefer a cider?  Austin Eastciders Collaboratory is the tap room for Austin Eastciders, located on Springdale Road. This is the perfect place to sample one of their well-balanced hard ciders. Got friends who demand beer? Friends and Allies Brewing is conveniently located next door where they serve up their brews that combine West Coast brewing techniques with east Austin culture. It’s two east Austin breweries in one locale!

 

Zilker Brewing Company

Visit Zilker Brewing Company for a wide-range of accessible brews. They even have a “Parks & Rec” beer with a portion of the sales going to the Austin Parks Foundation.

 

Lazarus Brewing Company

Want food AND beer? Lazarus is one of the east Austin breweries that not onlyserves craft beers that can only be purchased on the premises, but street tacos too! They also have homemade root beer, coffee, espresso and kombucha. Don’t miss the beautiful stained glass over the large patio that’s perfect for whiling away the afternoon.

 

Hops and Grain Brewing

Hops and Grain is pretty much the oldest of the east Austin breweries. They specialize in brewing craft beers sustainably. They also believe in giving back to the community and donate money and volunteer time to several Austin nonprofits.Their pale lager, called “The One They Call Zoe” is a beer that pleases all palates.
