It’s been over three years since we visited the Austin neighborhood Cat Hollow, located off Great Oaks Drive at O’Connor Drive, north of 45, west of 620 and east of Great Oaks Drive. It is popular with those looking for highly rated schools, a suburban feel, and proximity to both Austin and Round Rock.
As with most of Austin, much has changed in Cat Hollow since we last examined the area.
Cat Hollow Park and Pool is still a great place for residents to relax and have fun, with tennis and basketball courts, a baseball and kickball field, playground shade trees, picnic tables, covered pavilion, and trails in addition to the pool.
Students in Cat Hollow attend highly rated Round Rock ISD schools. Pre-Kindergarteners through fifth graders go to Brushy Creek Elementary School. Sixth through eighth graders go to Cedar Valley Middle School and ninth through twelfth graders attend McNeil High School.
St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is in Cat Hollow. St. David’s employs medical professionals and support staff in a variety of disciplines at this location.
M3 Design, Inc. is less than 4 miles from Cat Hollow and employs designers and engineers to provide product development services for customers in a variety of industries from consumer electronics to medical equipment and everything in between.
Veracruz All Natural, famous for their taco trucks in Austin, has a brick and mortar outpost in Round Rock, close to Cat Hollow. Their tacos are fresh, fast, and delicious, featuring unique combinations, gluten free options, and tasty homemade salsa.
Urban eat.drink is less than ten minutes from Cat Hollow and serves upscale twists on American fare, craft beers, and signature cocktails. They have both indoor and patio seating and are locally owned and operated.
